They finished tearing down the south wall of the building at Howard and Hawthorne, exposing more of the sign last seen here. I'll be interested to see the purpose of the six pink patches. I suppose such a grand sign indicates that the corner lot was vacant for a long time or occupied by something like a filling station. The torn-down building was more modern-looking than the building next to it.
