Chicago Cubs Are World Champs -- November 2, 2016

The Chicago Cubs beat the Cleveland Indians in seven games to win their first World Series since 1908.  Here is a cartoon from the last time they won, when they beat the Detroit Tigers in five games.

I feel bad for my cousins in Ohio. 

The Cubs Go to the Series -- October 23, 2016

The Giants won the wild card game but lost the divisional series.  Now I am faced with a difficult choice.  I was happy to see the Cubs beat the Dodgers for the NL pennant.  My father grew up near Cleveland and always had a soft spot for the Indians.  I don't know for whom I will root.
