Transbay Transit Center Aerial Tram -- June 29, 2018

The Transbay Transit Center Aerial Tram waits to rise from Mission Street to the rooftop park. San Francisco's only current overhead cable car is the Transbay Transit Center Aerial Tram. It will carry riders from near Mission and Fremont Streets to the rooftop park of the Transbay Transit Center. It is scheduled to open some time in 2018. The original proposal was to build a funicular, but the developer decided it would be too expensive.

Sales Force Tower -- May 27, 2017

The building with the slanted roof is the Leaning Tower of San Francisco, the Millennium Tower. at Fremont and Mission. Behind it is the nearly complete Sales Force Tower, which is now the tallest building in San Francisco. The two cranes make it resemble a Dalek.

Bay Bridge Closed -- August 29, 2013

Last night the Bay Bridge closed so workers can begin the cutover to the new eastern span.  With luck, the bridge will reopen no later than 5am on Tuesday.  I took the photo at the Temporary Transbay Terminal on Tuesday.

Transbay Terminal -- April 20, 2013

Looking down towards Fremont and Mission, where the new Transbay Terminal is under construction.  The lighter sidewalk on Fremont marks the tunnel under the street.  I took the photo yesterday.

Today the weather was beautiful.  We went downtown and walked up to Macy's.  We had lunch at Boudin's.
