Summer of Love Trading Cards -- Sonny Barger -- October 23, 2017

The San Francisco Arts Commission (http://www.sfartscommission.org/) has set up a series of posters by artists Kate Haug and Ivan Uranga called Summer of Love Trading Cards.  Number 38 of 50 is Sonny Barger, who was a founder of the Oakland chapter of the Hell's Angels Motorcycle Club.  The Hell's Angels were there during the Summer of Love, sometimes serving as security during concerts.  It didn't work well at Altamont.

The San Francisco Arts Commission (http://www.sfartscommission.org/) has set up a series of posters by artists Kate Haug and Ivan Uranga called Summer of Love Trading Cards.  Number 32 of 50 is poet Lenore Kandel.  She holds a copy of The Love Book, a book of poems which the police seized for obscenity.

The San Francisco Arts Commission (http://www.sfartscommission.org/) has set up a series of posters by artists Kate Haug and Ivan Uranga called Summer of Love Trading Cards.  Number 43 of 50 is producer composer and singer Sly Stone.  Sly and the Family Stone released A Whole New Thing in 1967. It was indeed.
