Parking Day #2 -- September 16, 2011

Today is Park(ing) Day (http://www.parkingday.org/). These people were celebrating in front of SPUR headquarters on Mission Street. At work we moved from the 4th floor to the 5th. Throwing things away goes against my nature.

Oracle Open World Setting Up #2 -- September 17, 2010

Yesterday Oracle Open World started setting up its tents on each side of Howard. Last night at 8pm, they closed off Howard between Third and Fourth. This morning, the big tents were up. Traffic wasn't too bad. I didn't hear many honking horns.

It was muggy today, and very cold at lunch time.

Today was Parking Day. I only saw one park, on Howard.

Park(ing) Day -- September 19, 2009

It was very warm today. It was also Park(ing) Day (http://www.parkingday.org/).

I took a walk at lunch time. On Howard as I approached the night club I heard very loud music. Then I met a guy who was handing out sliders. I resisted the temptation. A couple of parking spaces and part of the sidewalk were taken up with artificial grass and lawn chairs. There was a DJ at the other end.

I stopped at the East Bay Terminal to shoot some video. I recently realized that it won't be there much longer.

Later I saw the group above out in front of the SPUR Building. The music was not as loud, but they appeared to be having a good time.
