Catholic Schools Week, 2019 -- January 27, 2019

Today is the start of Catholic Schools Week.

I'm grateful that my parents put me in Catholic schools for 12 years. I'm also grateful to my teachers.

Good Shepherd in Pacifica gave our daughter a great education and continues to do the same for many other children. They are having an open house today from 11am to 1:00pm. The school is worth considering if you live in or near Pacifica:

We have been hearing a lot about Covington Catholic High School in Kentucky. A group of students attending a Walk for Life in Washington, DC harassed women, argued with a group of black protestors, and then ridiculed and mocked and tried to intimidate a Native American Vietnam vet. Most of the group wore "Make America Great Again" racist hats. When I went to a Catholic high school, we were told we represented the school whenever we were off-campus. If we had harassed women, argued with protestors and tried to mock and intimidate an elder, we would have been expelled.
