Let the World's Warriors Pause a Moment for the Message of Peace and Good Will -- December 24, 2014

This cartoon from the 25-December-1914 Missoula, Montana Daily Missoulian hopes that the armies fighting in Europe will pause to remember the Prince of Peace.  Coincidentally, this is the 100th anniversary of the Christmas Truce on the Western Front.

An article from the same issue says that San Francisco celebrated Christmas Eve with an open air concert at Geary, Market and Kearny, in front of the San Francisco Chronicle building.  The performers were John McCormick the famous Irish tenor and American soprano Madame Bernice de Pasquali.  Mayor Sunny Jim Rolph sent a message.
