I haven't seen much about the 100th anniversary of the New York to Paris round-the-world race. This ad from the 25-March-1908 San Francisco Call advertises that the only American entry, the Thomas Flyer, had arrived in San Francisco the previous afternoon, far ahead of its competitors. Edgar Preston Brinegar was a leader of the Lincoln Highway Association.
