Black Mask was a pioneering pulp that printed "Western, Detective and Adventure Stories." The June 1, 1923 issue was called the "Ku-Klux Klan Number." It featured "Stories, Articles and Letters About the Invisible Empire." he second Klan was still growing at a rapid rate in 1923.
