Kent State Massacre 50 Years -- May 4, 2020
I wasn't very old when the National Guardsmen shot and killed four people and wounded nine during a demonstration at Kent State University in Kent, Ohio. Nonetheless, it caught my attention because my father had gone to Kent State, and we had visited it a few years before when we went to Ohio. The National Guardsmen were sleep deprived, poorly trained, and over-armed. Some of the demonstrators threw rocks. There were rumors that there was a sniper on the roof of a building.
