Slapstick #15 -- November 10, 2011

Since tomorrow is Veterans' Day, I thought I would post an ad for Buster Keaton's military comedy Doughboys, known in the British Empire as Forward March, which played at His Majesty's Theater in Hobart, Tasmania.

"When Buster Keaton Bests Charlie Chaplin at his Own Game" refers to Chaplin's 1918 short comedy "Shoulder Arms."

"He was shellshocked by a kiss!"  Good line.

From the Hobart Mercury, 27-December-1930.
