Jean Harlow 100 -- March 3, 2011
Today is Jean Harlow's 100th birthday. She was a wonderful comic actress who died at 26. Here she appears with Laurel and Hardy in their silent short "Double Whoopee." She went on to be a star at MGM.
Hi! Joe Thompson... Thanks, for sharing...I must admit that she looks so modern in that photograph...her hair, and her style Of dress...I really never paid her career (films) too much attention...until my friend Gary, inadvertently, introduced me to her...(actress Jean Harlow) through books, films, etc,etc,etc...
DeeDee: Isn't that a great photo? She changed her hairstyle a few years later to one that looks less modern. She became a great comic actress. It's very sad that she died so young. There was a memorial blogathon that you might enjoy: http://kittypackard.wordpress.com/
